Our family histories are vital to our identity. These are stories to be passed down from grandparent to grandchild and beyond. Today, we’ve got this amazing tool for capturing our family stories, though too often we don’t. Hurricane Images Personal History project is a chance for elders to share what life was like “back when,” and speak directly to the generations that follow.
George Theophilus Walker (1922-2018) was an exceptional case in that he was also a Pulitzer Prize Winner in music. And he was my father. We captured both a portion of his history, told to his youngest grandson (below), and a testament to his creative achievement (above). IMBD Credit
